Wayne Lorne White, age 76, of Burgaw died Friday, November 30, 2007, at his residence.

He was born September 1, 1931 in Marshall County, WV and was the son of the late Donald A. and Camille Huffman White. He was also predeceased by his wife, Mary White and one granddaughter.

Mr. White served his country proudly in the US Air Force and received a Purple Heart while courageously fighting in the Korean Conflict.

Wayne was a quiet man who loved his family dearly. He enjoyed fishing, coin collecting, old cars, and watching football games. He was loved and will be greatly missed.

Surviving are his daughters, Bonita Landefeld, Robin Kraska and Debbie DeLoriers all of Baltimore, MD; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Maxx and Delores White of St. Louis, IL; sister and brother-in-law, Kate and Herb Frye of Sparrow Point, MD; longtime companion of eighteen years, Dorothy Eward and her daughters, Lorraine Eward, Sherri Eward and Melissa Baldwin and her family.

A memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 6, 2007 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home Burgaw Chapel with The rev. J. C. Young-Thompson officiating.
