Wendy Karen Register Brisson, age 68, of Wallace was passed from this life to her eternal rest on Saturday, February 27, 2021 from New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

She was born on October 25, 1952 in Onslow County.  She was the daughter of the late Walter and Myrtle Marie Gurganus Register.  Wendy was also predeceased by her late husband, Charles Ray Brisson.

Surviving to cherish her memory is her daughter, Jenelle Taylor; granddaughters, Gabrielle Taylor and Michelle Taylor; grandsons, Sam Taylor and Dylan Taylor; brothers, Ray Register, Greg Register and Gordon Register; aunt, Hellena Holbrook and special friend, Pamela Minx Pollard.

Wendy was truly one of a kind; a special lady with a heart full of love for her children, especially for her granddaughters, Gabrielle and Michelle whom she loved and cared for many years.  Wendy found great joy in the simplest of things, but her greatest joy was her 'girls'.  She was a strong-willed woman, and no challenge was ever too big for her. Always speaking her mind and never minced words, you always knew where she stood about things.  All in all, Wendy was very special and loved by many. She will surely be missed.  Special memories of her will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Graveside service will be held for Wendy at 2:00p.m. on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at Riverview Memorial Park, Watha.
