Wilbert Allen "Frogman" Rivenbark, 72, of Burgaw passed from his earthly life on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at Huntington Health Care.

He was born January 21, 1943 in Pender County, the son of the late Wilbert Rivenbark and Julia Ross Rivenbark Kalinowski. He was preceded in death by his wife, Laura Rivenbark.

Allen is survived by his wife, Joyce Ramsey Rivenbark; children, Larry Rivenbark (Melissa), Gretchen Brock (Marty), Tony Tomassetti (Marilyn) and Dean Tomassetti (Karlee); many grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Betty Jane R. Barenbach; and many extended family and friends.

Allen's love of the outdoors and the mountains led him to a 30 year career with the NC Forest Service and operating W. & J. Motel in Maggie Valley. He also excelled in wood working, making cabinets. For many years he attended Cora's Grove Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church.

Allen, a kind and gentle man, loved his family with all of his heart. He was gifted with a musical talent and played the guitar with local bands; Country Strangers and River City Band. Allen made friends easily and kept them for a life time. He was always willing to lend a helping hand, give encouraging words and share his knowledge. Cherished memories of Allen will remain close in our hearts.

Visitation will be 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at Cora's Grove Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church with service beginning at 12 noon with the Rev. Randy Little and The Rev. W. E. Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be given to Cora's Grove P.F.W.B. Church, 4875 Cora's Grove Rd., Watha, NC 28478.
