Obituary

Together, Bill and Deborah built a home filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories

William “Bill” Graham Ferrell, Jr., 79, passed away peacefully on July 30, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, hard work, and devotion to his family.

Bill was the beloved husband of Deborah Ferrell and a devoted father whose greatest joy in life was his family. Together, Bill and Deborah built a home filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.

Bill dedicated his career to Forestry Services at Camp Lejeune, where he faithfully served for many years before retiring. He took great pride in his work, helping care for the natural beauty of the land—a calling that reflected his lifelong love of the outdoors.

An avid fisherman and hunter, Bill cherished time spent on the water, in the woods, and enjoying the beauty of God’s creation. He also had a passion for woodturning, creating beautiful handcrafted pieces that reflected his patience, skill, and creativity. In his retirement, Bill discovered a love for painting and spent the last several years developing his artistic talents. He created many beautiful works of art that brought joy to his family and friends and served as another expression of his creativity. Whether working with wood, painting, casting a fishing line, or simply enjoying the outdoors, Bill found fulfillment in life’s simple pleasures.

Those who knew Bill will remember him for his kind heart, quiet strength, gentle spirit, and willingness to lend a helping hand. He believed in the value of hard work, treasured time with family and friends, and lived a life marked by integrity, humility, and generosity.

Bill is survived by his loving wife, Deborah Ferrell; his daughter Lisa and her husband, Mark; his daughter Sabrina and her husband, Dave; his son Michael and his wife, Katie; his stepson Chuck and his wife, Tina; and his stepson David and his wife, Diane. He was also the proud grandfather of 11 grandchildren and the cherished great-grandfather of 10 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought him immeasurable joy. He also leaves behind extended family members, dear friends, and all whose lives were touched by his kindness and generosity.

Although Bill’s presence will be deeply missed, the memories he created, the lessons he taught, and the love he shared will continue to live on in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved him.

A celebration of Bill’s life will be held at a later time.

The family is grateful for the love, prayers, and support shown during this difficult time.
