William "Billy" Harold Atkisson, 61, of Delco, passed away on Monday, February 24, 2025, at Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington surrounded by his loving family.

Billy was born on May 3, 1963, in Franklin, GA, to William Harold Pruitt and the late Tommie Jacqulynn Buchanan Atkisson.

Billy was known for his immense heart, adventurous spirit, and rebellious nature. He had a passion for dirt track racing and was an exceptional mechanic. Billy was also a world-class foosball player, having once represented the U.S. in Paris at the World Championship foosball tournament. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Above all, Billy cherished his family and his beloved cats.

Billy is survived by his daughter, Alexandra Atkisson; mother of his daughter, Roberta Lynn Anderson; stepdaughter, Brandi Hickman (Jason); his sisters, Deedra Atkisson (Amy) and Debra Briggs; his beloved cats, Momma Kitty and Baby Kitty; and many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

In addition to his mother, Billy was also preceded in death by his brother Joseph Ballenger; and his stepfather, James Atkisson.
