William "Billy" Mayberry Mishoe, age 61, passed from his earthly life Friday, July 5, 2024 at his home in Castle Hayne.

He was born August 30, 1962 in Wilmington, the son of  Mary Kathleen DeVane Colvin and the late William Mayberry Mishoe III. In addition to his father, Billy was preceded in death by his stepfather, James "Butch" Colvin; and his beloved canine companion, Lucy.

Billy is survived by his mother, Kathleen Colvin; sisters, Teresa McCormick (Stephen) and Lisa Blackburn (Jay); niece, Sydni McCormick; nephew, Brandon Blackburn; best friend of over 30 years, Jerry Godwin; many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Billy had an amazing yard and porch filled with all kinds of beautiful flowers and plants that he grew and nurtured daily. His collection of antique collectables – vinyl records, record albums, and furniture was unmatched. It is said that Billy loved fast cars! Billy was a kind and gentle man, who loved his family and friends. He will be greatly missed.

A graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at Haw Bluff Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Richard Wade conducting the service.
