William "Buddy" Clifton Lewis, Jr., 88, of Wilmington, passed away on Wednesday, December 2, 2020, at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro.

He was born on March 8, 1932, in Wilmington to the late William "CW" Clifton and Emma Lee (Long) Lewis.

Buddy, a man who loved his dogs, retired from MCO Trucking after over 10 years of service. He enjoyed woodworking and craftwork, especially making reindeer and sleds. Buddy was a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather.

He is survived by his sons, William Clifton Lewis III and wife, Kimberly, Timothy Wayne Lewis and wife, Wendy, Charles Edward Lewis and wife, Amy; grandchildren, Wendy Noelle Clemens and husband, Mark, Timothy Wayne Lewis II and wife, Megan, William Charles Lewis, Tony "TJ" James Hughes; and great grandchildren, Emily Clemens, Zack Clemens and Jax Brickhouse

A graveside service will be held at 11am on Wednesday, December 9, 2020, at Oleander Memorial Gardens Mausoleum  in Wilmington with Rev. Lori Jones officiating.
