William "Bill" Dale Young, 66, of Wilmington, passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2020, at Lower Cape Fear LifeCareCenter in Wilmington, NC.

He was born on August 24, 1953, in Rocky Mount, North Carolina to the late William Robert Young and Peggy Ann Johnson Young. Bill was also preceded in death by his sister, Billie Ann Young.

Bill spent most of his life in Wilmington, NC. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved playing golf and shooting pool.  He was especially proud to be a North Carolina Notary.

Bill is survived by his wife, Norann Hughes Young; his precious maltese, Sophie; his brothers, Kenneth Young and Phillip Young; his sister, Lynette (Young) Lunsford and her husband, Wayne; sisters-in-law, Brenda Starling, Frances Hughes, and Jane Hughes; and brothers-in-law, Ronnie Hughes and Shellmon Hughes, Jr.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to help cover medical bills and living expenses.
