Formyduvall
June 24, 2011
Columbia, SC- William "Mack" Kirby Formyduvall, 82, died Friday, June 24, 2011 in Palmetto Health-Richland in Columbia, SC.
He was born March 4, 1929 in Nakina, North Carolina and was the son of the late William Blanco Duvall and Mary Z. Register Duvall. Also remembered is his loving wife of over 52 years, Nina Moore Formyduvall who preceded him in death in 2007.
William is survived by his loving family: son, Kirby Formyduvall of Irmo, SC; daughter, Amy F. Memolo (Dan) of Lugoff, SC; grandchildren, Caroline Formyduvall, Catie Formyduvall, Renita Holt (Shane), and Sean Memolo (Jennifer); great grandchildren, Olivia and Grant Holt; and sister, Alice Stutz of Cameron.
William served his country proudly with two tours of duty in the US Army at the end of WW II and during the Korean Conflict. He attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
William loved his family and was a man of honor and quiet faith. He loved music from the 50's and 60's and old movies, especially he enjoyed watching military and western movies. Recently he was learning to use the computer which shows he was very intelligent and young at heart. William will be greatly missed and cherished memories of him will forever remain in our hearts.

Formyduvall will be laid to rest at a graveside service at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 29, 2011 in Eakins Family Cemetery, Watha with Pastor Jim Longenbach officiating.
