William "Tink" Linwood Harts, 82, of Rocky Point passed from his earthly life Thursday, September 17, 2020 at his home.

He was born August 13, 1938 in Pender County, the son of the late Wilbur and Annie Hale Harts. Also remembered is his beloved daughter, Anna Lisa Blanford; infant grandson, Jonathan Jalin Mathis; brother, Willie Harts; and sisters, Amanda Kosh, Jenny Suggs, and Vickie Jonkheer, all who preceded Tink in death.

Tink is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Linda Deal Harts; daughter, Terry Harts Mathis; grandson, Jamie Mathis; step-grandsons, Sean Mathis and Cory Blandford; great granddaughter, Victoria Grace Mathis; step-great grandson, Garrett Riggs; sisters, Nancy Morris (Bruce) and Rena Cooper (Ronnie); very special nephew, Russell Morris and his family; and many extended family and friends.

William Linwood known as and lovingly called "Tink" was a man of honor, integrity, and generosity. He loved and served the Lord and was a faithful member of Cora's Grove  Pentecostal Freewill Baptist Church. By profession Tink was a long distance truck driver and for many years he traveled roads throughout the United States. Tink was a "family man" as his life was centered around his family. He was also quite a good cook, specializing in his famous, delicious collards. Tink's presence in our home and around our dinner table will be greatly missed.

Graveside funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 9, 2020 at Riverview Memorial Park with The Rev. Randy Little and The Rev. Baris Lanier officiating.
