William Joseph Lawrence, age 38, of Leland, NC passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2022 at his home.

He was born on August 1, 1983 in Wilmington, NC to Elwood Norris and Catherine (Lawrence) Sanchez.

William was a great husband and dad. He enjoyed fishing and being with his dog, Titan. Most of all, William loved spending time with his family and children. William was a bright light to many people and he will be dearly missed.

In addition to his parents, William is survived by his wife, Stephanie Lawrence; children, MacKenzie Purper, Ely Lawrence, Peyton Lawrence, Oaklee Lawrence, and Remee Lawrence; step-father, Glenn Maynard; brother, Jesse Huskins; sisters, Sierra Sanchez and Krystle Norris; aunts, Judith Lawrence, Natalia Vega, and Becky Totherow; cousin, George Totherow; best friends, Jeff Jones and Jesse Jones; and many other family and friends.

William was preceded in death by his brother, Jeremie Lawrence; aunts, Rebecca Lujano, and Shannon Stalker.

A funeral service will be held at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Leland on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at 12pm with Deaconess Colleen Mitchell officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service.
