William "Billy" Morton, passed April 20, 2019 in Wilmington, NC.

He was born October 12, 1942 in Wilmington, NC to the late Adron and Dora Morton.

He served in the United States Army, was a Charter Member of the Sun Coast Cruisers, and retired as a Field Tax Auditor for the Employment Security Commission. Billy's passion was working on muscle cars.  He had a kind heart and loved all of God's creatures.

Billy married the love of his life, Barbara, and they were together for 54 years. Billy was a planner and together they worked the plan. They spent many hours together antiquing.

His favorite sayings were "Make a plan and work your plan." and "Waste not, Want not".

Left to remember him are his wife, Barbara Morton; special cousins; brother-in-law, George Lee Sluder and wife Joan of Penderlea; many special nieces and nephews; and his beloved fur babies, Sunshine, Crystal, and Sam.

Memorial services will be held 11:00AM Wednesday, April 24th at Quinn McGowen Funeral Home in Wilmington, NC. Pastor Robert Keatts will officiate.
