Mr. William Donald "Donnie" Pittman

William Donald "Donnie" Pittman, age 61 of Kernersville and formerly of Wallace died Monday, October 1, 2007 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem.

He was born February 10, 1946 in Rocky Mount and was the only child of the late Henry A. and Virginia Harris Pittman.

Mr. Pittman worked for the Polo-Ralph Lauren Company as a research chemist for several years. Being a devoted husband and a loving father he dedicated his life to his wife and his son. His steadfast moral convictions provided an impeccable example for all who knew him. Donnie enriched the world in which he lived, sharing his love, talents, knowledge, humor and abilities so that others could benefit. He will be fondly remembered and dearly missed.

Surviving are his loving wife of thirty-six years, Ann Blanton Pittman of the home; his son and pride of his life, Jason Tyler Pittman; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Johnny "Buddy" and Dorothy Blanton of Wallace and numerous friends.

Funeral service will be 2:00 Thursday, October 4, 2007 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home Wallace Chapel.

Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Park, Watha.

The family will receive friends 1:00 to 2:00 pm Thursday, one hour prior to the funeral service at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home, Wallace.
