William Hines Quinn, Jr. age 50, of Castle Hayne and formerly of Kenansville died Saturday, July 27, 2013 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice & Life Care Center.
He was born March 27, 1963 in Kenansville and was the son of Sylvia Wiggins Hawes and step-father, George Hawes of Rose Hill and the late William H. Quinn, Sr.
William was raised in Kenansville and a high school graduate of James Kenan High School. He loved the people of Duplin County was always willing to lend a helping hand as long as his health permitted. William was very talented and a great artist who specialized in woodworking and making jewelry.
Surviving in addition to his mother and step-father is his devoted partner, Dr. Eve Mills of Castle Hayne; his son, Will Quinn of Kenansville and numerous relatives and friends who loved William dearly.
Memorial service for William Quinn will be held at 4:00pm on Saturday, August 3, 2013 at Riverside Park, 6710 Old Bridge Site Road in Castle Hayne, NC 28429.
A luncheon to celebrate William's life was held at 2:30pm on Sunday, July 28, 2013 at the family's hunting club in Kenansville followed by a graveside service at 5:00pm at Quinn Family Farm Cemetery.
