Zachary James Jones, age 28, of Willard NC, passed away on August 14, 2024 after a workplace accident in Charlotte NC.

He was born November 27, 1995, in Wilmington NC and graduated from Pender High School where he held fond memories of his football days. Zach went on to join the Marine Corps and honorably served four years with his lifelong brothers; Semper Fidelis!  He later began his career as a lineman. Anyone who has had the pleasure of knowing Zach knows how humble, kind, and hardworking he is.

Zach is survived by his loving fiancé, Gianna Polito, his mother Susan Pate (Dan), his father Rodney Jones, sister Chelsea Gascon (Bryan), brother Cory Pate, nieces McKenzie and Hannah, grandmothers Barbara Hatcher and Margaret Jones, multiple uncles/aunts/cousins, and numerous military and lineman family.  Never to be left out, he also leaves his two fur babies Trigger and Ellie Mae.

As Zach liked to say, he's just a "hardworking,  blue collar simple man".  Zach enjoyed things such as an early morning hunting trip, mountain cabin weekends, a day in the sun at Topsail beach, Carolina football, Red Sox games, and cracking open a nice cold beer.

Zach's family would like to welcome you to join them for a gathering of family and friends, which includes a memorial service with visitation to follow on Thursday August 22, 2024, at 3:00 PM at Quinn McGowen Funeral Home in Wallace NC.

Graveside service will be held on Saturday August 24, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Riverview Memorial Park on NC Hwy 117 in Watha.

The family asks in lieu of flowers for a donation in Zach's memory to the National Wild Turkey Federation.
