Albert Ray Caison, 77, of Burgaw passed from his earthly life Thursday, December 23, 2021 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
He was born February 17, 1944, one of six children born to Archie Lee Caison and Agnes Earl Blake Caison. Also preceding Ray in death was his wife, Rachel Hunt Caison; and daughter, Teresa Eakins.
Ray is survived by his devoted wife of seven years, Alice Caison; children, Terry Pigford (Bryan), Ted Crews, Faith Perez (Martin), and Kimberly Harrell (Rob); son-in-law, Mike Eakins; twelve grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; many extended family and friends.
Ray and Alice attended Long Creek Baptist Church. For a number of years Ray served in the US Army Reserves.
Ray was a kind, helpful, and giving man who loved his family with all his heart. He was a craftsman by trade and could fix most anything. He leaves legacy of the importance of God, Family and Country.
A memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 2, 2022 at Long Creek Baptist Church with Pastor Brad Thurston conducting the service. Burial will follow in Atkinson Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the cemetery following the committal service.
