Alfredo Sabillon'

Alfredo Sabillon’, age 91, of Wallace left this earthly life for his eternal rest on Tuesday, August 25, 2020 from the Brian Center.

He was born on December 15, 1928 in Honduras and was the son of the late Marcos Ferrera and Ercillia Sabillon’.

Mr. Sabillon’ is survived by his loving wife, Rosa Lopez Sabillon' of almost 60 years; his daughter, Yaneth Sabillon’; his six sons, Tomas Sabillon’, Alfredo Sabillon', Carlos Sabillon', Marcos Sabillon’, Armando Sabillon’ and Antonio Sabillon’.  He is also survived by 21 grandchildren;16 great grandchildren and numerous extended family and friends that loved him very much.

Alfredo was a devoted husband and caring father and grandfather.  He enjoyed the simplest things in life, but his greatest joy was showing his wife, his children and especially his grandchildren the love he had for each of them.  He was a classy, neat dresser who took great pride in his appearance as well as the way he carried himself.  He set a great example for his children and grandchildren. Alfredo loved the holidays and was always the first to get ready for Christmas.  Back at home in Honduras, Alfredo was considered a liberal political-minded man.  With his witty personality, he was funny, full of laughter and a big jokester.   Alfredo enjoyed bike riding as long as his health permitted.  All in all, Alfredo was a strong man with great integrity and love for others.  He will surely be missed but treasured memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 9:00pm on Friday, August 28, 2020 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home, Wallace, NC. 

Social distancing will be enforced and mask will be required. 

Graveside service will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, August 29, 2020 at Riverview Memorial Park, Watha, NC.
