Amy Bonnie House, 47, beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister and caring friend left this earth way too soon, leaving a big hole in our hearts. Amy passed away unexpectedly on Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 2020.
Amy was born in Craven County on November 29, 1972 and is the daughter of Una Caines and Craig Ensley and his wife, Jackie.
In addition to her parents, left to cherish Amy’s memory is her husband of 27 years and high school sweetheart, Greg A. House; sons, Tyler House (Christen) and William “Will” House; granddaughter, Addison House and her mother, Hope Everette; sister, Lisa Ensley (Albert); many extended family and friends.
Amy never let her deafness hinder her life as she lived life with enthusiasm and a passion for enriching the lives of the deaf community. The Eastern NC School for the Deaf had a special place in Amy’s heart. In high school she was proficient in volleyball, basketball and soccer. Also, Amy was chosen Miss New Hanover High, prom queen, and a cheerleader. Most important in Amy’s life was her family that she loved so dearly. Her sons and granddaughter were her pride and joy. Amy loved her Lord and lived a Godly life. Amy contributed much during her earthly life, was dearly loved, and will be greatly missed.
A service commemorating the life Amy lived will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 5, 2020 at 7 Hardison Field Road, Grantsboro, NC 28529
