Aneta "Rose Bud" (Pierce) Strickland

Aneta "Rose Bud" Pierce Strickland, age 57, of Willard left this earthly life for her eternal rest, after a sudden illness, on Thursday, November 4, 2021.

She was born January 30, 1964 in Dillon, SC to the late Robert Pierce and Myrtle Norris Turner. 

Aneta was a dedicated member of the Church of Pentecostal Gathering where she sang in the choir, was a member of Womens Ministries and was a vital part of whatever needed to be done at the church.  

Surviving to cherish her memory is her devoted husband, Gene Strickland of Willard; her daughter, Sandra Mobley of Willard; son, Nicholas Mobley of Fountaintown; grandchildren, Kyleigh Matthews and Olivia Sanderson; brothers, Artie Carpenter of Chinquapin and James "Buddy" Carpenter of New Bern; sister, Deane Carpenter of Chinquapin; step daughter, Amber Dixon and husband, Marcus of Magnolia; step grandchildren, Hannah Grace Dixon and Paxton Dixon; numerous extended family and friends that loved her dearly. 

"Rose" or "Rose Bud", as she was affectionately called, was a loving wife and caring mother, grandmother and sister.  She was a simple woman who enjoyed a simple life, doing simple things.  Rose was a hard worker and no job was too difficult for her to try to do. She was a very independent lady who always took care of herself and those whom she loved.  With a big heart, Rose was always willing to lend a helping hand wherever needed.  Most of all, Rose loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She is now in His presence forevermore.  Rose will surely be missed but treasured memories will forever live in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00a.m. on Monday, November 8, 2021 at the Church of Pentecostal Gathering with her pastor, Rodney Bonham officiating.  

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home, PO Box 339, Wallace, NC  28466 to help with Rose's funeral expenses.
