Austin Algin Yarborough

Austin Algin Yarborough, age 86, of Wilmington, NC passed away on Monday, November 29, 2021 at The Davis Community in Wilmington, NC.

He was born on January 29, 1935 in Florence County, SC to the late Otis Yarborough and Evelyn Mae Poston Yarborough.

Austin was the owner of Yarborough Tree Service for over forty years. He loved fishing and watching NASCAR. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family. Austin was a bright light to many people and will be dearly missed.

Austin is survived by his wife of sixty-one years, Eleanor Mae Parrish Yarborough; son, Scott Yarborough and wife, Amy; brother, Legrand Yarborough; sisters, Ella Christmas and Ann Yarborough; grandchildren, Jacob Scott Yarborough and wife, Elise, Luke Allen Yarborough, Caleb Yarborough, Crystal Freeman, Lee Yarborough, Angie Van Valkenburg, and Andrea Friede; and six great-grandchildren.

Austin was preceded in death by his son, Austin Dale Yarborough; daughter, Melissa Pauline Yarborough; sister, Lucille Yarborough; and brothers, James Robert Yarborough and David Yarborough.

A funeral service will be held at Quinn McGowen Funeral Home in Wilmington on Friday, December 3, 2021 at 11am with Pastor Jim Newkirk officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the service at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Wilmington.
