Barbara Jean (Hatman) Roberts

Barbara Jean Roberts, 51, of Castle Hayne, passed away on September 20, 2024, in Wilmington, North Carolina, after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born on July 15, 1973, in Vancouver, Washington.

Barbara was a lifetime member of the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Barbara was a bright light to many and will be deeply missed by all that knew her.

Barbara is survived by her loving husband, Harley Roberts; their children, Blaine Roberts, Bree Roberts; her mother, Gwen (Tikka) Shackleton; her father, John Hatman; her brothers, Jeffrey (Heather) Hatman, Charles (Amanda) Hatman, Christopher (Christina) Hatman; her sister, Heather (Lonnie) Heidegger; and a host of other loving Christian friends and family members.

Barbara was preceded in death by her brother, John Hatman; and her stepfather, Doyle Shackleton.

A public viewing will be held from 6-8 pm on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at Quinn McGowen Funeral Home in Wilmington. Her funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Thursday, September 26, 2024, at the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Wilmington. There will be a reception at the church following the interment
