Betty (Myers) Webb

     A kind and gentle soul, a gracious and loving lady, Betty Myers Webb, entered eternal rest on Thursday, July 29, 2021 at the age of 93. She was born October 25, 1927 in Burgaw to Lawyer Quinton Myers and Florence Catherine Mallard Myers, living most of her wonderful life in Burgaw.

     In addition to her parents Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Alton Walton Webb; brothers. Earl Myers, Andy Myers, and James Myers; and sisters, Louise Sharpe and Gwendolyn Moore.

     Betty is survived by her sons, Donald A. Webb and wife, Lynn, C. Quint Webb and wife, Donna, Gary Craig Webb and wife, Mary, and Tracy H. Webb; grandchildren, Geoffrey Webb (Tara), Thomas Webb, Autumn W. Derrow (Mike), Sean Webb (Shannon), Michael Webb, Marc Webb (Angela), and Katie Webb, eight great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; brother, Woodrow “Woody” H. Myers (Shirley), and several nieces and nephews.

    Betty’s journey on earth was a long life well lived. Her years were filled with an abiding love of the Lord, time spent with the family she so loved, and giving freely to all of those she came in contact with. By career Betty was a Licensed Practical Nurse, working many years caring for others. Betty will be remembered for her sweet, sweet spirit, her radiant smile, and the joy she shared with others.

    Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 2, 2021 at Quinn McGowen Funeral Home Burgaw Chapel with The Rev. Will Davis conducting the service. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Park
