Bobby Ray Benton

Bobby Ray Benton, 77, of Leland, passed away on Friday, October 18, 2024, at Novant New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington.

Bobby was born on May 12, 1947, in Brunswick County to the late Edgar and Geneva Mintz Benton.

Bobby was a good man who loved to hunt deer with his dogs. He worked for the State of North Carolina for 31 years as a road grader and will be deeply missed by all that knew him.

He is survived by his sisters, Dorothy Benton, Alice Hamby and husband, Harold; nephew, Gregory Hamby; niece, Tracey Black; and several other family members and friends.

In addition to his parents, Bobby was also preceded in death by his brother, Clifton Benton; and his sister, Gladys Benton.
