Bobby Earl Pickett

Bobby Earl Pickett, 81, passed from his earthly life Friday, December 26, 2025 at home.

     He was born September 23, 1944 in Wilmington, one of six children born to  James Edward Pickett and Sallie Edna Bell Pickett. In addition to his parents Earl was preceded in death by his wife, Linda York Pickett.

     Earl is survived by his daughters, Marie Lewis (Alan), Diane Hildebrand (Stephan Blagg), and Tammy Garis (Alan); son, Tony Ray Hannon; ten grandchildren; four great grandchildren; sister, Gladys Engle; and many extended family members and friends.

    Earl was a man of honor, integrity, and a man you could always count on. He was a diligent worker and a good provider for his family. In years past he enjoyed hunting and fishing for fun and pleasure.  Earl was always willing to lend a helping hand whenever and wherever needed. Most important in his life was family. Earl was loved and will be truly missed.

    The graveside funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 3, 2026 at James Pickett Cemetery. The family will visit with family and friends at the cemetery following the service.
