Bradley Sanderson Obituary

Bradley Carol Sanderson, 84, of Wallace, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and God’s faithful servant was called to his heavenly home by his Lord on Thursday, February 11, 2021 from Vidant Duplin Hospital.

He was born on June 3, 1936 in Duplin County; son of the late Horry Lee and Lucille Batts Sanderson.  Bradley was also predeceased by his silblings, Homer Sanderson, Dan Sanderson, J.B. Sanderson, Lois S. Moore and Hazel S. Cavenaugh.

Surviving to cherish his memory is his best friend and wife of 63 years, Mary Sue Gurganus Sanderson; his son, Bradley Kent Sanderson and wife, Becky of Beulaville; his daughter, Rhonda S. Ambrose and husband, Chris of Cary; grandchildren, Mariah Poole and husband, Garrett, Oakley Ambrose and Mercedez Robbins and husband, Anthony; great granddaughter, Bella Rose Robbins; siblings, Roy Sanderson and wife, Freida, Louise S. English, Johnny Sanderson and wife, Kay, and Peggy S. Sellers and husband, Tom, all of Wallace;and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends that loved Bradley dearly.

Bradley was a devoted husband and loving daddy, granddaddy and brother who loved his family with all his heart. He was a family man; not only did he love, care and provide for his wife and children, he was a very important present in their lives.  Bradley enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time outside in God's beautiful creation.  During the years, he constructed many houses that became homes for numerous families. Bradley was very talented and a great inventor.  Things that most people did not think possible, Bradley made it possible by inventing a way for it to be done.  He customized his boat, invented a 'boom' for his forklift and designed a deer stand that hunters would love to have, along with many other inventions.  With a charitable spirit, Bradley was a giver but did not toot his own horn. He felt the gift was between him, the person he was blessing and the Lord.  With his keen sense of humor and generous spirit, Bradley cultivated enduring friendships during his stay on this earth.  He was a man of great integrity and had a genuine love for the Lord, his family and friends.  Bradley will surely be missed but treasured memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
