Brenda Carol Wheeler Bishop, 78, of Rocky Point beloved mama, Mamaw, great Mamaw, sister and friend passed gently from her earthly home to join her loving husband of 50 years, Henry “Hank” Eugene Bishop.
She was born March 24, 1944, the daughter of Raymond Clayton Wheeler and Zora Holland Wheeler. In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by her brother, Ellis Ray Wheeler.
Brenda is survived by her daughter, Alana Walker; grandchildren, Deanna Pringle Eakins (Michael) and Deidra Elise Bell (William); great grandchildren, Luke, Mia, Abigail, Brynlee, Levi and Walker; sister, Greta "Jackie" Harcarik (George); a very special aunt, Margie Wheeler, who greatly influenced Brenda’s life. Not to be forgotten is Pebbles Brenda’s Chihuahua and constant companion.
Brenda was all about family as family was first and foremost in her life. She was an exceptional Mama, Mamaw, aunt, niece, sister and friend who taught by example how to love, how to care, how to share. How she loved pigs (ceramic, not live) which she collected by the thousands. Brenda maintained her joyful sense of humor even during the years of her illness. Brenda’s bright and shining light will long remain in our hearts.
