Brian Paul Ashline, 63, passed gently from his earthly life Friday, August 29, 2025 at Lower Cape Fear LifeCare in Wilmington.
He was born December 18, 1961 in Franklin, Vermont, the son of Donald Bernard Ashline and Ann Rae Bellows Ashline. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Gary Ashline.
Brian is survived by his wife of 36 years, Patricia Edwards Ashline; son, Jason Brian Ashline; stepchildren, Patty Jackson and Gary Ray Jackson (Alyssa); stepson-in-law, Paul Roy; grandchildren, Max Ashline, Nina Turner (Brandon), Dianna Pierce (Max), Casey Rosser (Steven), Jayce Jackson, Darius Jackson, and Mikala Jackson; great grandchildren, James Pierce, Axel Rosser, Kayson Turner, Braylon Turner, Kaleiah Turner, Joshlyn Rosser, and Aubrie Pierce; brothers, Jimmy Ashline and Kevin Ashline (Diane); many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Brian was a skilled carpenter by profession. Most of all Brian loved his family and was a devoted husband, Papa to his grandchildren, faithful brother, and loyal friend to many. Brian’s grandchildren were the apple of his eye, and he was the best Papa. Brian enjoyed watching football games, the Dallas Cowboys being his favorite team. Brian was loved and will be greatly missed.
The funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at Quinn McGowen Funeral Home Burgaw Chapel followed with the Rev. Merrell McKoy conducting the service. The service will be followed by the visitation at the funeral home.
