Charles Ray Brisson, 69, of Wallace passed from this life to his eternal rest on Monday, December 30, 2019 at his home.
He was born on March 7, 1950 in Robeson County; the son of the late Howard and Lucille Smith Brisson. He was also predeceased by his brother, Jack Brisson.
Mr. Brisson is survived his wife of twenty years, Wendy Register Brisson of the home; Gabrielle and Michelle Taylor of the home; his daughter, Becky; six grandchildren; his brother, Dennis Brisson and wife, Judy; his sisters, Monnie Holbrook and Doris Zimmerman and numerous extended family and friends.
Charles was a kind and considerate man who loved his family dearly, especially Gabrielle and Michelle who has lived with him and Wendy for over twelve years. He loved them as his own. Charles loved music; enjoyed singing, playing golf, fishing and many other sports and activities. He enjoyed playing penny poker with the girls and Wendy. When Charles was younger, he had many professions. He was in law enforcement for years and later became a long-haul truck driver. According to family he really enjoyed traveling from state to state hauling goods. Charles was a caring man who loved people and was loved in return. He will surely be missed but treasured memories will forever live in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, January 2, 2020 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home, Wallace Chapel with the Reverend David Knowles officiating.
The family will receive friends from 10:00am to 11:00am, one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Brisson will be buried in Garden of Faith Cemetery in Lumberton on Thursday, January 2, 2020.
