Charles Robert Loughner

Charles Robert “Bob” Loughner, age 89, of Leland, NC passed away on November 15, 2023.

He was born on January 30, 1934 in Johnstown, PA to the late Nelson Gaylord Loughner and Florence Dorothy Lewis Loughner.

Charlie Bob was a dedicated U.S. Marine. He was a huge fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers football team. Charlie Bob had a great sense of humor and could make everybody laugh. He loved his animals and most of all, he loved his family. Charlie Bob was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was loved by all that knew him, and he will be dearly missed.

From Charlie Bob’s son, Keith – Dad loved his sports, especially if it involved the Steelers, Pirates, Penguins or the Johnnies. Dad himself was an avid baller, winning several glove and batting awards. He played industrial softball with S & Z Tool and Die for many years.

Charlie Bob is survived by his wife, Rose (Fantauzzo) Loughner; son, Keith Loughner; daughter, Denise Loughner; grandchildren, Ashley Wilkinson, Corrie Watkins and Kyle Ernst-Loughner; and great-grandchildren, Cearra Hughes, Madison Wilkinson, and Kennedy Ries.

In addition to his parents, Charlie Bob was preceded in death by his son, David Loughner; and sister, Audrey Saylor.
