Charles Raymond Taylor

     Charles Raymond Taylor, 55, left his earthly life Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at Novant Health NHRMC in Wilmington.

     He was born February 26, 1970 in Pender County, the son of Kenneth James Taylor and Diane Luton Taylor. In addition to parents Raymond was preceded in death by his sister, Lisa Taylor Walker.

     Raymond is survived by his brother, Jamie Taylor and his wife, Lisa; nieces, Jessica Taylor (Kevin), Tiffany Taylor-Hernandez (Anthony), Jennifer Taylor-Mitchell, and Ally Walker; nephew, Justin Gray; great nieces and nephews, Blake, Carley, Emalee, Jaxon, Jenson, Isabella, Lucas, Kartyr, Ivy, and Malachi; many extended family members and friends.

     Raymond was an avid fisherman and enjoyed many hours down on the river. For a number of years Raymond grew a healthy garden with okra growing as tall as he was. Over the years there were many canine companions in Raymond’s life that were blessed by being loved and cared for by Raymond. Not having children of his own Raymond  doted on his nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews. He dearly loved them, and they loved him and brought much sunshine and joy into Raymond’s life. Raymond will be greatly missed.

     The graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday. May 12, 2025 at Riverview Memorial Park with Reverend Cindy King conducting the service.  The family will receive friends at the cemetery following the service.

     Raymond's last gift in his earthly life was the gift of life to another person through HonorBridge, which is an organ donation  organization.
