Clara Parker Obituary

Clara Willetts Parker, 84, of Kelly passed gently from her earthly life on Monday, March 23, 2020 in The Breakers at Davis Health Care Center in Wilmington.

She was born May 30, 1935 in Southport, NC, the youngest of eight children born to  Adrian L. and Flossie Outlaw Willetts. She is also preceded in death by her husband, James Arthur Robbins in 1964 and Donald Lee Parker in 2002; and her twin sons, Daniel Parker and Donald Parker.
Clara is survived by daughters, Lisa R. Grant (Terry), Cheryl A. Hendrix (Mark), and Teresa D. Spivey (Jerry); son, James A. Robbins (Tonya); daughter-in-law, Robyn Parker; grandchildren, Austin Robbins, Nadia Robbins, Eric Parker (Cierra), Kara Parker,  Kathryn Spivey, Anna Hendrix and Daniel Parker; great grandson, Drake Milligan; and her sisters, Verna Croom (John) and Hattie Carraway.

For many years Clara was a faithful member of Haw Bluff Baptist Church where she so generously shared her musical talent by always being present and available to play the organ for church, funerals and special events.

Clara was an extraordinary woman of God whose resounding faith and love for family was unmatched. Her brightly shining light often served as a guide to those around her. Those that knew Clara will always remember her passion for music, cooking for those she loved and spending holidays with family.  She was a true example of what it meant to be a Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and Friend. Her presence in our lives will be forever missed but we find solace in knowing she is at peace and rejoicing with her Almighty Father.

Due to COVID-19, a private burial for immediate family will take place at Haw Bluff Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jacob Lewis and Rev. Richard Wade conducting the service.

In Lieu of flowers, in honor and memory of Clara it is suggested that you make a donation to Haw Bluff Baptist Church Music Fund, C/O Diane Norris, 24276 NC Hwy 210 E, Kelly, NC 28448 or to Lower Cape Fear LifeCare, 1414 Physicians Dr., Wilmington, NC 28401.
