Clyde “Buddy” Ernest Faircloth, III, 48, of Wilmington, passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2021, at Duke University Hospital in Durham, North Carolina.
He was born on November 18, 1972, to the late Clyde Ernest Faircloth, Jr. and the late Sheila (Stutler) Faircloth.
Buddy, a US Navy veteran, served aboard the USS Toledo as an Electronics Technician, Third Class. He was immensely proud of his service as a submariner and loved to display his Silver Dolphins. Buddy was a patient, big-hearted guy who loved the outdoors, specially hunting and fishing. His hobbies included watching movies, singing, listening to music and beating everybody on the pool table. His auto body skills were unmatched. But most of all, Buddy was a loving father son, and brother.
He is survived by his wife, Wendy Nicole Young Faircloth; sons, Luke Paul Young Faircloth, Nickolas Mikhail Stutler Faircloth; his daughters, Haley Nicole Faircloth, Chanel Avery Young; his brother, Benjamin Scott Faircloth and wife, Melissa; his sister, Jennifer Wissman and husband, Jay; his nephew, Benji; and his nieces, Selah and Bexley.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, January 27, 2021, at Quinn McGowen Funeral Home in Wilmington with Pastor Ray Faircloth, Jr. officiating and the US Navy performing military funeral honors.
