Dale Ann (Pierce) Simpson

     Dale Pierce Simpson, 65, of Ivanhoe passed peacefully from her earthly life Saturday, November 27, 2021 at Lower Cape Fear LifeCare in Wilmington.

     She was born December 4, 1955 in Wilmington, one of four children born to Edgar Earl and Shirley Batchelor Pierce, who preceded Dale in death.

     Dale is survived by her beloved family: her husband of 48 years, Henry Fred Simpson III; sons, Henry Fred Simpson IV and Eric Earl Simpson and his wife, Amy; grandchildren, Westley Simpson, Austin Simpson, Taylor Simpson, and Pierce Simpson; sister, Audrey Maready (David); nephews, Shawn Maready, Brent Maready (Erica), and Earl Pierce II, (Samantha); great niece and nephews, Elaina Pierce, Everett Maready, and Slate Maready; and many extended family members and friends.

     Dale was without a doubt the BEST Wife, Mama, Nana, Sister, Aunt and Friend. She loved the Lord and served her family well all of her days on this earth. Each year Dale planted a garden and the whole family enjoyed the fruits of her labor all year long as during the summer Dale canned and froze her vegetables. Being a fabulous cook, Dale while walking her treadmill watched Cooking with Brenda Gantt scanning for new recipes to experiment with and that she did. Brenda Gantt’s recipes always have a saying or story with each recipe which Dale enjoyed as she exercised. Dale’s radiant smile and sweet, sweet spirit touched many lives and will be greatly missed.

     Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at Riverview Memorial Park with The Rev. Gardner Eakins conducting the service.

     The family will receive friends at the cemetery following the graveside service.

     In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be given to Lower Cape Fear LifeCare Foundation, 1414 Physicians Dr., Wilmington, NC 28401.
