Daniel Lawrence Jordan

     On March 17, 2025, Daniel Lawrence Jordan, loving husband and wonderful Dad, Dad-in-law, Papa, Brother, Uncle, and loyal Friend passed away at the age of 55 years.

     He was born January 6, 1970, in Pender County, the son of Rodney Gilven Jordan, Sr. and Ethel Merle Dennison Ferguson. 

     Daniel is survived by his beloved wife of 35 years, Margie Clark Jordan; sons, Andrew Lawrence Jordan (Rachel), Jason Patrick Jordan and Zachary Daniel Jordan (Madeline); grandchildren, Ansley Lynn Jordan, Autumn Lake Jordan and Allen Lawrence Jordan; sister, Kay Bradshaw (Kevin); brothers, Gilven Jordan, Jr. and Chris Jordan (Lori); many nieces and nephews; as well as many friends, including very dear friend, Thomas Marshburn.

     Daniel worked hard all of his life, to support his family, to instill solid character in his sons, and to build a future with and for them. He started D L  Jordan Roofing  so many years ago when the boys were very young . His roofing work supported his family for over 30 years. During all that time, he also spent many seasons of hunting, fishing, and quality time with his sons, something he always held close to his heart. When Daniel semi-retired from the Roofing company, and passed it down to the boys, he began his second career as a sitework contractor, an owner-operator running excavators, dozers, dump trucks and all kinds of other equipment. And with that, he found his new passion for life. But also solace, living in God's peaceful country in Ivanhoe on a little homestead with the love of his life, Margie. He was a God-fearing man who prayed constantly for his family and for himself to be the best they could be and that his children and  grandchildren will know and follow Jesus.

     From Margie: God gave me you Daniel. He knew we needed each other. My Daniel, my heart, my soul, my world, my protector, my best friend and my only true love for all of my life. You stole my heart 35 years ago and I have loved you from the moment I saw you. You love fiercely and you cherish our family. You love me with your whole heart. You love our boys and their ladies. And oh, how you love those grandbabies and how proud you are to be their Papa. They are the absolute lights of your life.  My Daniel, just a pause now until I see you again on the other side. I love you Daniel, Always.

     Graveside funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at Jordan Cemetery, 1207 Van Eden Road, Watha, NC 28478. The Rev. Earl Smith will conduct the service. The family will visit with family and friends at the cemetery following the service.
