Danny Clay Eury

Danny Clay Eury, age 69, of Harrells, left this earthly life for his eternal rest on Saturday, April 16, 2022 from Wake Medical Hospital. 

He was born on April 19, 1952 in Warren County, NC; the son of the late Joe Clay Eury, Jr. and Marie Ann Martin Eury.  Danny was also preceded in death by his best friend and wife of 43 years, Peggy Eury (Nov. 16, 2021), son, Danny Cyr and brother, Jimmy Eury.

Danny was a member of Wells Chapel Baptist Church.

Surviving are his children, Melissa Lynn Lopez of Rocky Point, Michael Claude Evans and wife, Ingrid of Harrells, Kelly Loretta James of Harrells and Sandra Cyr of Mt Olive; grandchildren, Kayla Hill, Anthony Lopez, Marissa Lopez, Cayden Lambert, Ethan James, Blake James, Daniella Evans, Dylan Evans and Austin Evans; 3 great grandchildren, sisters, Evelyn Blair of Kenansville and Mary Ann Zarcos of Wilmington; and his and Peggy's canine companions, “Pee Wee”, “Gabby” and “Precious”; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who loved Danny dearly.

Danny was a kind and caring man who loved his family more than life itself, especially his grandchildren.  He was a very simple man who lived a simple life while providing for his family.  He had a golden heart on the inside and was tough as leather on the outside.  Danny was funny, always had something to say and didn't mind speaking his mind.  One never had to second guess where he stood on numerous subjects.  With a servants heart, Danny was always willing to lend a helping hand wherever needed.  He will surely be missed but never forgotten.  

Mermorial service will be held at 11:00a.m. on Friday, April 22, 2022 at Wells Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery with Paster Barry Wells officiating.
