Deborah Lynn (Westerhold) Winchip

Deborah Lynn Westerhold Winchip, age 65, of Wallace, North Carolina passed away unexpectedly Saturday, December 13, 2025.

She was born on July 26, 1960, in Warren County, New York to the late Keith and Alice Westerhold.  Deborah was also preceded in death by her former husband Ronald Combs

Surviving to cherish her memories is her best friend and husband Brian Winchip; children Chris Combs and significant other Kristina, Matt Combs and wife Katie, Scott Combs and wife Kayla, Marica Jordan and husband Miles, Kyle Winchip and partner Daniel and Jessica Monticelli; grandchildren Lila, Molly, Noah, Julia, Chase, Evan, Adalynn, Alaina, Macon, Tulsa Mae,  and Jessica’s children, her most loved and cherished canine companion “Wahoo”,  and numerous extended family and friends that loved Debbie dearly.

Debbie was a devoted wife and loving mother.  She was a simple woman who enjoyed the simplest things in life but her greatest joy was her family.  Debbie was a great fan of the beach.  She loved the water, the salty air and just about everything about it.  Debbie loved Christmas. She enjoyed spending time with family, buying presents for everyone in her family, especially buying for the grandchildren.  She loved going home to New York at Christmas time carrying loads and loads of presents to her family there and spending time with each of them.  It’s no coincidence that Debbie was watching the Wallace Christmas Parade as she passed from this life to her eternal rest on Saturday.  She was at her ‘happy’ place sitting in her truck watching it.   Debbie also had a love for candles and kept them burning all year round, not just at Christmas or special occasions.  She was a good person and was dearly loved by all who knew her.  Debbie will surely be missed but treasured memories of her will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.
