Dennis Lee Best, age 60, of Willard was taken from us due to a fatal motorcycle accident on Saturday, February 3, 2024.
He was born on July 18, 1963, in Wake County, NC; the son of Dallas Ayden Best and Joann Murray.
Dennis was a professional painter by trade and painted numerous historical houses in the Wilmington area.
Surviving to cherish his memory is his best friend, and wife, Robin “Star” Stewart Best; his siblings, Eugene Odell and wife Lisa of Leland, Pixie Bass and husband Chuck of Willard, Trixie Cerwonka and husband Scott of Leland, Ricky Bass and wife Karen of South Carolina and Lacy Bass and wife Angela of Grantham; very special friends, Brain and Mel Jackson and T.C. and Mary Shakey as well as many others ; his motorcycle brothers, Pork Chop, Blade, Backtrack, Too Short, Ray and Demo; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends that Dennis loved and was loved in return.
Dennis was the love of Star’s life, and she was his. They enjoyed spending time together and living life together. Dennis was a painter, and he took great pride in his work. He loved his family, especially his wife and his mother. Dennis loved to laugh and to make others laugh with him. He loved life to its fullest and the freedom of riding. He enjoyed being a part of the Duplin County Chapter. He was in the process of becoming a ghost rider within the club. Dennis will surely be missed but treasured memories of him will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
