Donald Lee Rivenbark

     Donald Lee Rivenbark, age 77, passed peacefully from his earthly life Tuesday, August 29, 2023 surrounded by his children.

     He was born May 11, 1946 in Sampson County and was the son of Preston Rivenbark and Luola Page Rivenbark. Donald had twelve siblings all growing up in the same household.

     Donald is survived by his wife of 56 years, Jackie Rivenbark; four children, Darren Rivenbark (Laura), Dewayne Rivenbark (Sheila), Heather Davis (Gary), and LeAnn Lavrack (Lane); not to be forgotten “his favorite son” Peanut; grandchildren, Holden Rivenbark, Summer Rivenbark, Christian Aikens, Brittany Aikens, Alexis Rivenbark, Haley Lavrack, and Olivia Lavrack; four great grandchildren; sister, Connie Pittman; many nieces, nephews, and friends, all who loved Donald.

     For many years Donald was the owner and operator of Carolina Tree Service. “Work” should have been Donald’s middle name as he was a diligent, dedicated, and very hard worker.

     Donald would strike up a conversation anywhere any time with anyone as he never met a stranger and made friends easily. He loved his homeplace, the farm where he grew up. Most important in his life was family.

     A Celebration of Life and time of fellowship and sharing will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 2, 2023 at Wells Chapel Baptist Church, 2038-2070 Wallace Hwy, Wallace.

     In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to Lower Cape Fear LifeCare, 1414 Physicians Drive, Wilmington, NC 28401.
