Dwayne Kirkley King

Dwayne Kirkley King, age 54, of Ivanhoe, NC passed away at his residence on Thursday, December 26, 2024.

He was born on May 19, 1970, in Union County; the son of the late Carl Roscoe King, Jr. and Martha McCorkle King. 

Surviving to cherish his memory is his daughter, Martha King; his siblings, Randy King of Hampstead, Chris King of Ivanhoe, Scott King and wife Shannon of Hampstead, Angie King of Hampstead, Rodney King and wife Cindy of Porters Neck, and Sherry Lowry and husband Jim of Missouri and numerous extended family and friends that loved Dwayne dearly. 

Dwayne was a loving brother and caring uncle and friend.  He loved his family with all his heart but the most loved person in the world to him was his mother.  They had a special relationship and bond that most people never have.  Dwayne enjoyed being outdoors fishing, hunting or just being looking at God's beautiful nature.  He was a good-hearted man and was loved by everyone who knew and loved him.  Dwayne will surely be missed but never forgotten.

Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at Harrells Cemetery.  There will be an open casket from 10:30 am until 11:00 am at the cemetery for family and friends.
