Dwight Eugene Morgan

Dwight Eugene Morgan, 76, of Wilmington, passed away on Friday, November 1, 2024, at Novant New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington.

He was born in Newport News, Virginia on July 10, 1948, to the late Elbert Donald Morgan and Letha Eugene (Poole) Morgan.

Dwight, a devout Christian, was a member at Pine View Church in Wilmington. He enjoyed fishing, wildlife, animals, NASCAR, and watching westerns. Most of all, Dwight was a hard worker who loved his family and the Lord. He was a bright light to many and will be missed deeply by all that knew him. 

Dwight is survived by his loving wife, Mona Faye (Reynolds) Morgan; and his sons, Elbert Eugene Morgan, Dwight Eugene Morgan Jr.: his daughters, Donna Kay Cain and husband, Bobby, Martha Lynn Morgan, Letha Mae Morgan; his sister, Anne Brown and husband, Billy; 4 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and his beloved dog, Ticket.

In addition to his parents, Dwight was also preceded in death by his brothers, Elbert Donald Morgan Jr., Raymond Edward Morgan; and his sister, Ruby Lynn Beeson.

His funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at Pine View Church in Wilmington with Pastor Wayne Hall officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Wilmington.
