Eddie Wayne Bivens

Eddie Wayne Bivens, age 60, of Willard, North Carolina, left this earthly life for his eternal rest on Sunday, April 24, 2022, after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born on June 6, 1961, in Davidson County, NC and was the son of the late Edward Lee and Betty Carter Bivens.  He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Cynthia Bivens in 2018.

Eddie is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Denise Dunn Bivens of the home; his brother, Marty Bivens of Lexington; stepdaughter, Danielle Strickland and her husband, Jeremy; grandchildren, Chloe Strickland, Kaleigh Strickland and Levi Strickland; special aunt and uncle, Juanita and Mitchell Padgett of Watha and numerous extended family and friends that loved Eddie dearly.

Eddie was a loving husband and a caring step-father and grandfather who always put others before himself.  He was a hard worker who loved work and help others.  Eddie, because of his work ethics, didn't have much free time but when he did he enjoyed fishing at Kerr Lake and going to the mountains especially to Maggie Valley.  Eddie enjoyed going to auctions and finding “antiques” he would buy and bring home.  Being a people’s person, Eddie never met a stranger.  He loved his family dearly, especially Denise, but most of all, Eddie loved the Lord and is now with Him forever.  He will surely be missed but treasured memories will remain with all who knew and loved Eddie.   

Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at Riverview Memorial Park.
