Elizabeth "Lib" Ann (Parker) Pearsall

     A kind and spirited soul, a gracious and giving lady, Elizabeth “Lib” Pearsall passed from her earthly life on Sunday, January 29, 2023 at home at the age of 75. Her family and friends were with her surrounding her with love.

     She was born July 7, 1947 in Nash County and was raised by her grandparents, Curt and Kit English, who she dearly loved.

     Lib is survived by her devoted husband of 54 years, William Hill Pearsall; sons, William Hill Pearsall II (Michelle) and Stephen Vann Pearsall; grandchildren, Ryder Pearsall, Ella Pearsall, and Jakob Pearsall; great grandson, Louie Pearsall; brother, Mike English (Johanna); many extended family members and friends, all who loved Lib.

     Lib spent her life serving others and living in the joy of her beloved FRANs (friends, relatives, and neighbors). She invited everyone to her table and filled you with a delicious meal, lots of love, and loud belly laughs. Her infectious personality pulled you in whether she was volunteering at the elementary school, making biscuits at Skats, or working in the fields of the family farm.

     She loved her family and bragged about them at every opportunity to anyone who would listen.

     Lib loved serving God wherever she could, whether in the church kitchen, working fundraisers, supporting Methodist Home for Children, doing children's church, or correcting the pastor (her husband).

     She is no longer tethered to an oxygen hose, but is running freely through Heaven - probably barefooted! 

    The family will receive friends 6 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at Quinn McGowen Funeral Home Burgaw Chapel.

     Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 2, 2023 at Herrings Chapel Methodist Church with Rev. E. J. Highsmith conducting the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

     In lieu of flowers Lib requested donations be made to Methodist Home for Children, 1041 Washington Street, Raleigh, NC 27605. (919-754-3625) or to a charity of one's choosing.
