Ellen Marie (Holland) Knowles

Ellen Marie Knowles, 67, of Wilmington, North Carolina, passed from her earthly life on Thursday, October 9,2025.

She was born on February 23, 1958, in Rockaway, New York to Robert Holland and Marie Cooney Randazzo.

Ellen grew up in Long Beach, New York, She later moved to Northern Virginia from 1980 to 2020 and then retired to Wilmington with her husband Doug. Her favorite place to be was the beach in both New York and Wilmington. She loved her two daughters, Casie and Jessica, with all her heart.

Ellen is survived by her husband, Douglas Knowles; her daughters, Casie St. Germaine (Joe), Jessica Knowles; brother, Robert Holland Jr. (Mary).

There will be a graveside service at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 16, 2025 at Rockfish Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Pastor Merrell McKoy officiating.  After the graveside service, there will be a Celebration of Life gathering from 2 p.m. - 5 p.m. at Oceanic Restaurant 703 S. Lumina Ave. Wrightsville Beach, NC 28480 on the second floor.
