Our beloved “Dibble” on Monday, December 27, 2021 gave up her blessed and full earthly life to join Kermit and all of her family that has gone before her.
Eva Elizabeth Gray Porter was born October 10, 1933 in Pender County, one of ten children born to Lonnie James Gray and Eva Serene Rackley Gray. In addition to her parents, Dibble was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Addison Kermit Porter who died in 2009.
Dibble is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Lynn Porter; two others that Dibble was “Ma” to: Michael “Tony” Scott (Kathy) and their children, Michael Scott (his children, Emma, Hannah and Owen Scott), Conrad Scott and Ryan Scott; Lonnie J. Moosman and his daughter, Kelly Normand (Ron) and children, Claire and Conrad; many loved nieces, nephews, additional family and dear friends all who loved Dibble.
Words that come to mind when thinking of Dibble are tenacious, compassionate, caring, and loving. She was a Southern lady filled with wisdom that she generously shared with others. Her life exemplified her faith in God, love of family and love of all the folks she called family and dearly loved.
