Frank Raymond Krynicki, 89, of Burgaw passed peacefully from his earthly life Friday, January 21, 2022 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
He was born July 14, 1932 in Preston County, West Virginia, the son of Ignatz and Jennie Komowski Krynicki. In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by the love of his life, his beloved wife, Betty A. Piper Krynicki; and his siblings, Edward Holipsky, Leona Scarton, Jay Fiore, Agnes Neugenbauer, Irene Shaffer, Vicky Bonnett, and Thomas Krynicki.
Frank is survived by his sons, Douglas Krynicki and wife, Brenda and Raymond Krynicki and wife, Marybeth; grandsons, Charles Krynicki and Ira Paul Johnson; great grandson, Matthew Johnson; brothers, George Krynicki (Louise) and Richard Krynicki (Nancy); many nieces and nephews.
He was an aircraft mechanic beginning with Piedmont Airlines and retiring with US Air. Frank was a faithful member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. Being a veteran of the Korean Conflict, Frank served his country honorable in the US Army.
Frank was a humble, softspoken man who loved and served his family, his church family, his country and his many loyal friends. It is noted that grandson, Charles, was the apple of Frank’s eye and you often found them together. Frank enjoyed being outdoors in God’s beautiful world of nature hunting and fishing. Frank’s passing leaves an empty place in our family circle and in our hearts.
The family will receive friends at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 29, 2022 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 4849 Castle Hayne Road, Castle Hayne, NC.
Mass of the Resurrection will begin at 11:00 a.m. followed by burial in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church Cemetery. Father Roger Malonda Nyimi will conduct the service.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given in honor and memory of Frank to St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 4849 Castle Hayne Road, Castle Hayne, NC 28429.
