Franklin Creech, III Obituary

Franklin Lee "Trey" Creech, III, 24, of Wallace left this earthly life way too soon on Saturday, February 4, 2023, due to a fatal auto accident.

He was born on April 25, 1998, in Wilmington, NC; the son of Franklin “Frankie” Lee Creech II of Wallace and Ashley Jones Dail and husband, Greg of Harrells.  He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Frank and Ann Creech; maternal great-grandparents, Ken “Doc” and Jane Ayers; maternal great grandparents D.A. and Maomi Jones and Bob Braswell.

Trey was a 2016 graduate of Wallace-Rose Hill High School.

Surviving, in addition to his parents are his sisters, Suzanna Creech of Harrells, Megan Thompson and husband, Geoff of Carthage, NC and Kaitlyn Dail of Rose Hill; maternal grandmother, Susan Ayers of Wallace; maternal grandfather, Dickie Jones and wife Carol of Wallace; paternal great grandmother, Louise Wood of Chinquapin; aunt, Tammy Patram and husband Jody of Wallace; uncle, David Jones and wife Samantha of Harrells; cousins, Jordan Patram Parker, Ashlynn Patram Campbell and Noah Jones;  niece, Sophia Thompson, nephew, Mason Thompson; his best buddy and  canine companion, “Bo”; numerous extended family and friends that loved Trey dearly.

Trey was a kind hearted young man who loved his family and his friends.  He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed many sports. During high school he played golf and was on the school shooting team. He played baseball with Wallace Parks and Rec when he was younger. Trey was an avid hunter, especially duck hunting. He was a great fan of Ducks Unlimited.  He loved history, was political minded and loved the Republican Party. Trey enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, but he especially enjoyed spending time with his dad.  He was always good at telling “Dad” jokes.  Trey was always telling some sort of joke when he and Frankie were together.  Like most young men, Trey was and will always be his “mama’s” boy.  Suzanna and Trey were always the typical brother and sister; arguing, telling on each other, etc. but when it came to love, they loved each other with a priceless love. Trey was a true die-hard Carolina UNC fan just like his grandmother Ann was.   More than anything, Trey loved life and lived it to its fullest.  He will surely be missed but treasured memories will forever be in the heart of those who knew and loved Trey.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening, February 8, 2023 from 6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. at Padgett Funeral Home, West Main Street, Wallace, NC.

Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 9, 2023 at Harrells Community Cemetery.
