Glenda Susie Anna Lewis, 71, of Willard passed gently from her earthly life on Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at the Laurels of Pender.

She was born July 2, 1947 in Burgaw and was raised by her beloved parents, Joe and Alice Rivenbark, who are now both deceased. Also, lovingly remembered is a grandson and sister, who both preceded Glenda in death.

Glenda is survived by her daughter, Amanda Muzio and her husband, Daniel; sons, Jimmie Melvin Wheeler, Jr., Oscar Leland Lewis, Jr. III, and James Joel Wheeler; five grandchildren; five great grandchildren; six siblings; and many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Glenda loved her family and was a devoted mother and grandmother. She found great joy in the simplest of things, but her greatest joy was family.  She loved roses, listening to country music, watching old western movies, and Gun Smoke on TV. Glenda was a joy to know. Her family is grateful to God for her life, for your friendship and for your kindness and prayers.

A memorial service will be 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 6, 2019 at Mt. Holly Baptist Church with the Rev. Merrell McKoy conducting the service. The family will visit with family and friends following the service.
