Harry Glenn Thomas, 73, of Wilmington passed peacefully from his earthly life at Trinity Grove Wednesday, May 25, 2022 with loving family at his side.
He was born November 5, 1948 in Robeson County, the son of the late Ordell Gregory Thomas and Foyleen Johnson Thomas.
Glenn is survived by his devoted wife of 54 years, Judy Anders Thomas; daughters, Kristie Thomas Veasey and husband, Thomas, and Leigh Anne Thomas Wright and husband, Brett; grandchildren, Zach Russ, Camryn Veasey, Evy Wright, and Anders Wright; sister, Barbara Thomas Meadows and husband, Linwood; brother, James Gregory Thomas; several nieces and nephews; many extended family members and friends.
He served his country honorably in the US Army during the Vietnam War.
Glenn was a true Southern gentleman, quiet in manner, strong in faith. He was a devoted husband, loving daddy, granddaddy, brother, and friend. The grandchildren brought much joy and light into Glenn and Judy’s life. Glenn was a member of the Southeastern NC Mustang Club. He enjoyed freshwater bass fishing, golf and most of all spending time with his beloved family. Glenn was loved and will be greatly missed.
The family will receive friends 2 to 3:00 p.m. Saturday, May 28, 2022 at Quinn McGowen Funeral Home Burgaw Chapel with memorial service beginning at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Virgil Huffman will conduct the service.
