Gloria Bauman Springer

     Gloria Bauman Springer, 80, passed peacefully on Saturday, July 19, 2025 at Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

     She was born March 28, 1945 in Lumberton, the daughter of Dennis Albert Bauman Sr. and Mrytle Broadaway Bauman. Gloria was married to her late husband Willie Springer Jr. for 52 years.   In addition to her parents and husband  Gloria was preceded in death by her sister, Jenny Mae Bauman and brother, Dennis Albert Bauman Jr.

    Gloria is survived by her children, sons, Robbie Gene Springer (Pam) and Rodney Harris Springer (Eric Mechum); daughters, Jeanie A. Garcia and Stephanie Springer (Melissa Springer); grandchildren, Zack, Nicholas, Amanda, Steven, Christopher, Geraldo, Teresa, Antonieta and Dafany; sixteen great grandchildren; sister, Elizabeth Gail Burris (Johnny Bailey); sister in law, Lisa Bauman; brother in law, Wayne Springer and many extended family and friends.   

    For many years Gloria has been an important part of her church family at Bible Baptist Church where she filled many roles such as singing in the choir and volunteering in the nursery.  She loved to pass time reading and sewing.  Gloria was a wonderful wife, mom, grandmama, sister,  and friend.  Gloria was loved and will be missed.

     Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 26 , 2025 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home Burgaw Chapel with Pastor Paul Couch officiating. Burial will follow in Whispering Pines Cemetery at Gloria's home in Kelly.
