Jeffrey Allen Imel, 34, beloved son, brother, uncle, and loyal friend left this earth May 17, 2020, way too soon, leaving a big hole in our hearts.
He was born April 17, 1986 in Hamilton County, Indiana and was the son of Sandra Franklin Imel and the late John David Imel.
In addition to his mother, Jeff is survived by his sister, Ashley Imel; brother, John Imel and his wife, Angil; nieces, Emmaleigh Imel and Liberty Kaufman; nephews, Gavin Imel and Evan Kaufman, and his beloved Great Dane, Colt. Jeffrey will also be remembered by many other family members and friends.
For many years Jeff worked as an EMT with Pender County Rescue and Fire and most recently worked with Coastal Heating and Air. Always willing to serve in his community, Jeff volunteered as a fireman with Long Creek-Grady Fire Department.
Jeff was devoted to his family and loyal to his friends. He was known and loved by the nickname, Buffalo because he was always looking for the next watering hole. He loved all of God’s wonderful world of nature, rivers, kayaking, and anything having to do with waterways. Jeff’s caring, loving spirit will always remain in our hearts.
A gathering of family and friends for Jeff's memorial service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 23, 2020 at Camp Kirkwood, 2015 Camp Kirkwood Road, Watha, 28578. A time of fellowship and sharing will follow.
